When I moved to Providence ten-plus years ago I decided to try to put my watercolor days behind me... and try a new medium,  I started with oils. That lasted about a week. Oil and water do not mix, at least not in my hands. Then I moved to acrylic and found it to be a great pleasure. 

 

And with time I found I could work with it, and I borrowed some watercolor techniques as well... glazing being one of the most useful. I also found that living in a high rise building in Providence changed my way of seeing things. The Top Down painting reflect that new point of view.
