CARLA'S ART
ON THE MOVE
After years of painting mostly for myself I decided in 2019 to get it out into the public eye...
First stop was the Rhode Island Foundation. Seven of my Providence paintings were hung in their gallery. Nothing made it more fun than hanging it with the people who work at the Foundation, plus special help from Providence Picture Frame, getting every detail right.
Later, a different group of my paintings that I call my "Top Downs" were on exhibit at Providence City Hall.
And then, I was delighted to be selected as the first artist-in-residence at the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) at the Wexford Building in downtown Providence.
Later, my largest painting measuring 2'x12' called "One Table/Many Lives" was hung at the Omni Hotel. Given the pandemic, it was seen by no one.
But in a very happy ending, Rhode Island Hospital heard about it and wanted it. It's been selected for the hospital's newly renovated cafeteria.

Thousands of people will see it there for many years to come. I couldn't be more pleased. Here's how it's going to look:
